The Eastside Symphony will hold its annual Young Soloists competition on Sunday afternoon, May 16.

The winner will perform with the symphony in one of its 2010-11 concerts.

The competition is open to all instrumental performers under the age of 20.

Contestants should be able to perform a complete concerto or other major solo work with orchestra. The entire work need not be performed at the audition, but

contestants should be prepared to play portions of each section. A single piano will be available; contestants should arrange for an accompanist if one is desired.
