Parklane Gallery will hots its 18th Annual International Miniature Art Show from May 4 through June 6. More than 300 works of art will be on display from places as far away as Iran.

Miniature painters must comply with a strict standard of rules that apply to balance of scale, technique, color and detail as well as to size. Magnifying glasses are provided and closer looks are encouraged at Parklane Gallery.

A sneak preview party will be held from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, May 4. An artists reception and awards will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 8.

Presenting the awards for this year's show are Wes and Rachelle Siegrist. The Siegrists have exhibited in over 500 art shows, galleries and museums and have received hundreds of awards between them for their art, including miniatures. Works by the Siegrists will also be on display at the Parklane Miniature show.

Parklane is located at 130 Park Lane, Kirkland, 425-827-1462, or on its website.
