Seattle Opera to premier Amelia

Seattle Opera will present a world premiere commission – Amelia – composed by Daron Aric Hagen, with libretto by poet Gardner McFall, and story by Stephen Wadsworth in eight performances May 8 through May 22 in Seattle's McCaw Hall.

Mezzo-soprano Kate Lindsey, who sang Nicklausse in the new production of The Tales of Hoffmann at the Metropolitan Opera, makes her Seattle Opera debut in the title role.
