Bellevue Philharmonic Presents to present an evening of light classics

The Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra will present "Destination Springtime," a Pops concert featuring a collection of music for all tastes and ages.

A selection of favorite light classics will include Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni, Roses from the South by J. Strauss, Jr., Massenet's Meditation from Thaïs, Brahms' Hungarian Dance #5, Johann and Josef Strauss' Pizzicato Polka, and Elgar's Nimrod from Enigma Variations.

The world of Broadway will be represented by George Gershwin ("Porgy and Bess"); Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe ("My Fair Lady"); and Andrew Lloyd Webber ("Phantom of the Opera").

Performances will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20 and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21 at the Theatre at Meydenbauer, 11100 NE 6th St, Bellevue.
