Marvin Hamlisch to lead Seattle Symphony Pops series

Marvin Hamlisch will close the 2008–2009 Seattle Symphony Pops series with a tribute to George Gershwin. Pianist Kevin Cole, renowned for his Gershwin interpretations, will join the Principal Pops Conductor and Orchestra for Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Performances will take place on Thursday, May 14, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, May 15, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, May 16, at 2 and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, May 17, at 2 p.m.

Tickets from $17 to $92 can be purchased by calling the Seattle Symphony Ticket Office at 206.215.4747.
