The Glenn Miller Orchestra will take the stage Aug. 9 to kick-off Kirkland Performance Center’s 2008-2009 season.

Under the direction of trombonist Larry O’Brien, that classic Glenn Miller sound — from “In The Mood” and “Pennsylvania 6-5000” to “Chattanooga Choo Choo” and “Moonlight Serenade” — lives on in their return engagement at KPC.

The orchestra will perform at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 9. Tickets are $35 for adults, $31.50 for seniors and $15 for youth.

Kirkland Performance Center is located at 350 Kirkland Ave., Kirkland.
