Author Vicki Robin talks about becoming a 'locavore' at University Book Store of Bellevue Tuesday

On Tuesday, Feb. 4, the University Book Store's Bellevue location will host author and speaker Vicki Robin as she discusses her book "Blessing The Hands That Feed Us: What Eating Closer to Home Can Teach Us About Food, Community, and Our Place on Earth."

The book is a partial memoir of Robin's month as a 'locavore,' eating only food sourced within 10 miles of her Whidbey Island home. Robin argues in the book on behalf of a local diet and includes a recipe guide.

The presentation begins at 6 p.m. and is free to all. The book store is locate at 990 102nd Avenue N.E.
