New revue to debut at Meydenbauer

Beginning July 12, the Bellevue Civic Theatre will present the musical revue, “Bobby D and Peggy Lee: Together Again!,” at the Theatre at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.

The revue recaptures the final broadcast of “The Bobby Darin Show,” which aired on NBC with Peggy Lee as the only guest - and features Seattle entertainers Bob De Dea and Lindsey Larson.

De Dea and Larson - who have previously performed solo tribute concerts to Darin and Lee - will sing many of the songs made famous by the entertainers, as well as recreate some of the duets the friends shared in concerts and nightclubs.

Among the Bobby Darin hits included are: “Dream Lover”, “Lazy River”, “Splish Splash”, “If I Were A Carpenter”, “Beyond The Sea” and “Mack The Knife”. Songs made famous by Lee that will be included are: “Big Spender”, “I’m A W-O-M-A-N”, “Alright, Okay, You Win”, “I Love Being Here With You”, “It’s A Good Day”, “He’s A Tramp” and her signature hit, “Fever”.

The show will also feature a live nine-peice jazz band.

“Bobby D and Peggy Lee: Together Again!” runs July 12-20 at The Theatre at Meydenbauer Center; Friday and Saturday performances are at 8pm, Thursday at 7:30pm, and Sunday matinee at 2pm.  Single show tickets are $30.00 for adults.

For tickets or more information, call the Bellevue Civic box office at (425) 235-5087. Meydenbaurer Center is located at 11100 NE Sixth St.
