14 groups receive arts grants

Fourteen Bellevue organizations have received grants from 4Culture for sustained support.
Those named are:
Ballet Bellevue, $3,000; Bellevue Arts Museum, $16,000; Bellevue Civic Theatre, $5,000; Bellevue Opera, $1,500; Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra, $10,500; Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra, $5,700; Bellevue Youth Theatre, $3,500; Eastside Association of Fine Arts, $1,000; KBCS, $8,000; KidQuest Children’s Museum, $7,500; Mastery of Scottish Arts, $1,500; Pacific Sound Chorus, $1,500; Theatre at Meydenbauer Contemporary Dance @ Meydenbauer, $3,500 and Bellevue Downtown Association’s Bellevue Jazz Festival, $8,000.
4Culture is a Public Development Authority chartered by King County to preserve and develop the county’s cultural resources. Funds for 4Culture’s grant programs come from a credit against the state sales tax on lodging.
