Jazz Extravaganza comes to Meydenbauer on Sunday
October 7, 2010 · Updated 9:52 AM
The Eastside Jazz Club will present its annual Extravaganza at the Theatre at Meydenbauer on Sunday. The event will feature Dee Daniels and her Trio as the headliner with Tony Foster on piano, Clarence Acox on drums and Phil Sparks on bass.
Also on the bill will be The Music Works Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Paul Harshman.
The jazz club began in 2002 when Cooksie and Lionel Kramer and Leng Tshua had a “Brain Wave” over lunch. There were no jazz clubs on the Eastside and it was time somebody did something about it.
Sherman Clay in Bellevue came onboard as the venue with the The Steinway Recital room in the piano store able to hold up to 90 people.
The series kicked off in June.
