Newport Jazz band to perform in Savannah

The Newport High School Jazz I ensemble, led by director Matt Eisenhauer, will compete Thursday at the Savannah Music Festival in Savannah, Ga.

As part of the 2010 Swing Central High School Jazz Band Competition & Workshop, the Newport band will perform on Savannah’s main tourist thoroughfare, River Street, at noon Thursday (Pacific time). A live webcast will be available by visiting www.wtoc.com anytime during the River Street performances to

tune in. For those who cannot watch in real time, an archive of the performances will be hosted at

www.wtoc.com in the “Special Features” section on the homepage, within “WTOC Live Web 11.”
