Openings remain for Bellevue mediator training

Spaces remain for training by the city of Bellevue to become a mediator.
The training leads to becoming part of the Bellevue Neighborhood Mediation Program, which offers conflict resolution services to the Bellevue community.
The program offers 40 hours of basic mediation training to those who live, work, or go to school in Bellevue.
The training is designed for people who are interested in developing mediation and conflict resolution skills, and is a prerequisite for those who wish to volunteer with the program.
Training will include conflict theory, communication skills building, and mediation techniques.
Classes will be offered from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 14; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 16; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 17; 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 21; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 23; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 24.
Attendance at all sessions is required.
Cost is $250 and scholarships are available.
The training will be offered at Bellevue City Hall, 450 110th Ave. NE.
