Ashlynn Watland of Sammamish and Jocelyn Dawson of Mercer Island recently celebrated their fourth birthdays. But, instead of having friends bring presents to their birthday party they asked for hats and mittens for kids in need.

The two came to Youth Eastside Services offices Friday, Nov. 20 to deliver several large bags of brand new hats and mittens to donate to YES clients.

"They were so excited to help other kids," said YES Executive Director Patti Skelton-McGougan. "It was too cute and so wonderful to see kids giving back at such a young age."
