Bellevue Pet Pros will hold a cat and kitten adoption event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21.

The event, at 10505 Main Street in Bellevue, will feature both cats and kittens from King County Animal Care & Control.

The King County Council has made the decision to close both King County Animal Care & Control locations at Crossroads and in Kent. This means over 12,000 needy animals every year will be left without a place to go as of Jan. 31, 2010. The organization says there is a need to find homes for all the animals in King County Animal Care & Control shelters as soon as possible.

King County Animal Care & Control has waived all adoption fees for all animals so anyone adopting an animal from King County will only pay the pet licensing fee of $30.
