Bellevue to offer outdoor movies in the park this summer

Grab a blanket, a lawn chair, a bag of popcorn and some soda and head to the park to enjoy free outdoor movies this summer. Films will be shown under the stars on a 25-foot screen.
An eight-week series begins Tuesday, July 7 in Downtown Park before moving to Eastgate Park ball
field on August 11. Movies are family-friendly and carry a PG rating.
While taking in a free flick people also can support a cause. Each movie night is themed with a different charity benefit. People can bring donated items to support the organization of the night.
The movies at Bellevue Downtown Park begin at dusk (between 8:30 – 9 p.m.). Parking for Downtown Park movies is limited to the park’s parking lots, Chase Bank on NE First, and available street parking. Here's the lineup at the Downtown Park:
July 7: Hotel for Dogs (PG); Hopelink (Food Drive)
July 14: Bride Wars (PG); Overlake Service League (Food/Toiletries Drive)
July 21: Second Hand Lions (PG); Eastside Domestic Violence (Adult Sock/Toiletries Drive)
July 28: The Express (PG); Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue (Backpack/School Supply Drive)
August 4: Madagascar 2 (PG); Treehouse (Youth Pajama Drive)
Movies at the Eastgate Park ballfield begin a dusk (between 8 – 8:30 p.m.) The park is located at the South Bellevue Community Center, 14509 SE Newport Way. Movies will be shown in the SBCC gym during inclement weather.

August 11: Kung Fu Panda (PG); YouthCare (Adult Sock/Underwear Drive)
August 18: Ghostbusters (PG); YWCA (Toiletries/Hygiene Drive)
August 25: Back to the Future (PG); Hopelink (Food Drive)
