The city of Bellevue is launching a new online guide for individuals to find volunteer opportunities on the Eastside. The directory, available at www.bellevuewa.gov/volunteer.htm, lists hundreds of positions with local cities, churches, schools, nonprofits and other agencies. Bellevue itself has nearly 6,000 volunteers who contribute to the community in more than 40 programs – everything from coaching sports teams to performing complex mediations.
