Michael Steinore will present genealogical documents from the 1800s through World War II dealing with Russian Jewish genealogy at 7 p.m. April 13 at the Stroum Jewish Community Center on Mercer Island.

The presentation is designed for those whose family history include ancestors who lived in Czarist Russia and/or the former Soviet Union.

Numerous sources of genealogical information exist although some are harder to find and translate than others. The presentation will offer practical advice on how to locate, understand and use some of the important sources for Russian Jewish genealogy.

The center is located at 3801 East Mercer Way, Mercer Island.
