The 2009 Wish Night Gala & Auction on March 14 raised more than $741,000 to grant wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. More than 800 guests attended the black-tie celebration at The Westin Seattle.

This year's event topped last year's total by more than $35,000, proving even in these tough economic times, the heart of giving is still beating. Joyce Taylor of KING 5 news emceed the event and celebrity guests made appearances including Jason Mesnik of ABC’s The Bachelor, Edgar Hansen of Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch and Lofa Tatupu of the Seattle Seahawks.
