Strategies for parents topic of talk

Dr. Laura Kastner will speak on “Getting to CALM: 14 Cool-Headed Strategies for Parenting Tweens & Teens” from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 19 at the Theatre at Meydenbauer.

The talk will deal with silence, surliness and attitude in children and how parents can stay calm when your kid is pushing all their buttons.

Kastner is a clinical associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the University of Washington and a nationally recognized expert on teen behavior and development.
