“Taste a Little Bit” raises $3,000 for riding center

MulvannyG2 Architecture raised more than $3,000 at its third annual “Taste a Little Bit” cooking competition Oct. 3 at the company’s Bellevue headquarters.

All funds raised benefited Woodinville’s Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center, a non-profit organization that offers therapeutic riding and hippotherapy (physical therapy using the movement of the horse as a treatment strategy) to children and adults that live with physical and/or developmental disabilities.

Celebrity chefs from Anthony’s Restaurants, REI, Little Bit, and MulvannyG2 were given baskets of food, each based on varying European countries. They prepared hors d’oeuvres that were judged by the audience on name, presentation, and taste.

The winner of this year’s competition was the REI team with their dish of ‘Pork Sushi in the Manner of REI.’ The prize included bragging rights and the coveted golden plate trophy.

“It is so amazing that MulvannyG2 and their clients come together every year to participate in such a fun and successful event,” said Kathy Alm, Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center Executive Director. “Without proper funding, children and adults with disabilities would not have the opportunity to benefit from equine assisted therapy.”

The highlight of the evening was Meghan Flynn, a rider at Little Bit, who took time to tell her story and describe what Little Bit meant to her. She joined the Little Bit team to prepare their hors d’oeuvres and participated in announcing the evening’s winner.

“Little Bit does extraordinary work,” said Wayne Miller, Principal at MulvannyG2. “We are grateful for the support and participation of our clients who are both our strategic partners in business and within the community.”
