Heritage Corner Then and Now: Meydenbauer Bay
August 21, 2008 · Updated 5:40 PM
Heritage Corner is a weekly feature of the Bellevue Reporter. Material is provided by the
Eastside Heritage Center.
These two photographs were taken from the Moorland District, looking northeast across Meydenbauer Bay towards downtown Bellevue.
The earlier picture dates from the first decade of the 20th century. The Main Street School that opened in 1892 can be seen at the top of the road leading up from the ferry landing.
