Bellevue to host dog disc championships Aug. 23

The Northwest regional canine disc championship will come to Bellevue on Saturday Aug. 23.

Called the 2008 Hyperflite Skyhoundz Northwest Regional Canine Disc Championship, it is considered the premier Northwest event in canine disc sports and features top competition teams from around the Northwest.

Contestants and their canine teammates will earn points for tricks ranging from simple throws to complicated acrobatics.

Action will begin at 10 a.m. at Bellevue’s Crossroads Park. Competition is open to all dogs with a $15 admission fee. Entrance is free for all spectators and leashed dogs are welcome.

Crossroads Park is located at 16000 N.E. 10th St.
