Derby Days in Redmond

Redmond’s Derby Days is back for its 68th year, kicking off from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today at the Redmond City Hall Campus, 15670 N.E. 85th St.

The fun begins with the Redmond Medical Center Kids’ Parade at 10 a.m., immediately followed by the Venture Bank Grand Parade.

The Genie Industries Criterium, the nation’s longest-running bicycle race, starts with a Juniors race at 2 p.m. and all-ages kids’ lap at 2:45 p.m. The Men’s and Women’s competition runs from 3-7 p.m.

Also planned are music, interactive games, bouncy houses, a climbing wall and other family fun.

At 10 p.m., a fireworks display will take place.

Parking is available at the Redmond City Hall parking garage, the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center and Redmond Town Center. A free shuttle will run between parking sites from 9 a.m.-10:30 p.m.
