Actress to speak at YWCA luncheon

 

The YWCA Eastside Inspire Luncheon on Thursday, March 21 will feature actress and humanitarian America Ferrera. The event takes place from Noon to 1:30 p.m. at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.

Fererra is best known for her lead role in the television series Ugly Betty, for which she won a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award. She has been recognized by the U.S. House of Representatives as a role model for young Hispanics and most recently was featured in a documentary profiling the inspirational stories of challenged and courageous women and girls.

A donation of $150 or more is requested at the luncheon to benefit the efforts of the YWCA Seattle-King-Snohomish to advance the lives of women and families.
