Dance to support effort to end violence against women

Local Nia Seattle teachers and community members will gather and dance together at Crossroads Bellevue Shopping Center on Feb. 14 in support of One Billion Rising, a global effort to end violence against women and girls created by V-Day.

The public dance will be at at the Market Stage in the International Food Court area and is open to the public and anyone may participate. Participants will join activists, writers, celebrities, and women and men across the world to voice their wish to end violence against women.

The NiaSeattle teachers will lead the group in an easy-to-follow Nia dance routine. This event is free.

The event will be from 2-3 p.m. Crossroads Bellevue Shopping Center is located at 15600 NE Eighth St.
