The Bellevue Collection and The Taiwan Benevolent Association of America will welcome in the 2013 Lunar New Year with an all-day event Feb. 23 at Bellevue Square in Center Court.

The celebration, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., will feature numerous traditional and contemporary cultural demonstrations including martial arts, music, dance, and visual arts. The festival is open to audiences of all ages and includes complementary fun activities for all.

New additions for 2013 include martial arts demonstrations from the Wudang International Martial Arts Academy, Guanjiang Shou by Taiwan Traditional Folk Performing Troupe, and the creative Chinese paper-cutting & knotting artists.

From 2-3 p.m., the “New Year Spectaculars” will showcase the traditional lion dance and dragon parade – a symbol of strength and good luck to the community.
