Dorothy McKendrick Erickson

Dorothy McKendrick Erickson passed away suddenly on March 19, 2008 of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 76. She was born Sept. 9, 1931 in Los Angeles and graduated from Washington High School in 1949. Later she attended Brigham Young University where she met and married Ron Erickson on Sept. 20, 1951 in the St. George, Utah LDS Temple.

Mrs. Erickson is survived by her husband of 56 years; siblings Jim McKendrick and Ila May Schwartz; children Tricia Ryan (Richard), Gordon Erickson (Cheryl), Cathy Cooney (Kim), Steven Erickson, and Kristine Cox-Carlson (Kit Carlson); 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Erickson enjoyed life and never thought twice about jumping on a bicycle, reading to a child, giving away anything in her wallet and going out of her way to make one feel important. Her life was her family and service in her church.

A memorial service was held Monday, March 24 at The Bellevue Washington South Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Karie Jean Foo

Karie Jean (Jones) Foo of Bellevue died Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue. She was 45.

Mrs. Foo was born Sept. 24, 1962 at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle to Robert Keith and Joyce Jones. She was raised in Bellevue and attended Ivanhoe Elementary, Highland Junior High School, Interlake High School, Ricks College, Brigham Young University, and City University.

She married Nicholas Foo on Sept. 16, 1995 and they made their home in Bellevue. She was a Regional Human Resources Manager for Safeway for 15 years and a site coordinator at City University for 20 years.

Mrs. Foo is survived by her husband Nicholas Yuen-Wah Foo; daughter, Melissa Ann Foo; parents, Robert Keith and Joyce Jones; brother, Stanley Keith Jones; sisters, Stacey Joy Freitas, Kelly Virginia Carlson, Tonya Marie Eyler; and a brother, Robert Kurt Jones.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2008 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 16035 N.E. Northup Way, Bellevue.
