WSU honors Bellevue resident

Lorie J. Dankers of Bellevue is among four of Washington State University’s stand-out volunteers recognized during the closing session of the WSU Foundation’s annual meeting in Pullman on Sept. 7. Dankers received the Outstanding Service Award for her philanthropy and volunteer efforts on behalf of the University.

Dankers, a 1987 WSU alumna, advocates for The Libraries at WSU and has served on the WSU Board of Trustees, the WSU Libraries Council, and the WSU Alumni Marching Band.

Each year through its Outstanding Service Awards, the WSU Foundation recognizes those persons who inspire the wider university community through their service.
