James Charlton Haslam died in Bellevue on Aug. 2, 2012. He was 76.

He was born in Seattle on June 5, 1936, served in the US Army and worked with the Social Security Administration, retiring with the agency's Office of the Inspector General.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Loni,; son, Christopher (Sue) of Seattle; daughter, Mara-Lisa of Issaquah; and granddaughters, Mia and Cate Haslam and Emelia and Adalaide Bechthold.

A funeral mass will be said for him at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13 at Sacred Heart Church, 9460 NE 14th St, Bellevue.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871, or to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Sacred Heart Church.
