Matthew Nelsen-Wright earns Eagle Scout award

Matthew Nelsen-Wright, 16, of Bellevue has earned his Eagle Scout award.

For his community service project, Matthew organized and led a team of Boy Scouts that collected 3,400 pounds of cat and dog food and $270 for the Bellevue-based Seattle Humane Society.

Matthew is a member of Bellevue Troop 438, chartered by Christ the King Lutheran Church. He is a sophomore at Newport High School and is the son of Holle Nelsen-Wright and Alex Wright of Bellevue.
