Group seeks to help small businesses seeking stimulus funds
June 15, 2009 · 5:59 PM
Small businesses seeking American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds for clean technology projects can now find assistance from the Prosperity Partnership.
A coalition of more than 300 government, business, labor and community groups in King, Kitsap, Pierce and Snohomish counties, the partnership is attempting to help businesses access federal stimulus funds for regional projects.
The partnership is coordinating its efforts with the Washington Clean Technology Alliance.
“This is an important resource that will hopefully help businesses in our community and the surrounding area become more successful in identifying and securing funding opportunities, including those where collaboration could make the difference,” said Tom Boydell, program manager with Bellevue’s Office of Economic Development.
Besides small businesses, the partnership is also offering its services to the academic and research institutions, government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
