ÁegisLiving, a provider of retirement, assisted living, and memory care communities, has bought property in Bellevue.
Set to open in early 2010, the new location will feature assisted living and memory care apartments. It will be the 12th Aegis community in the Puget Sound region, which also operates 22 communities in California and Nevada.
AegisLiving purchased the property, at 148 102nd Ave. S.E.,
in August 2008 and has contracted with Polygon Construction, which already has begun construction. Once completed, it will feature common areas and a variety of apartment styles, offering 68 assisted living apartments and 18 apartments serving those living with memory care issues.
The new Bellevue community, which will be the second for Aegis in Bellevue, will include a wide array of amenities including a private movie theater, library, massage and salon. To facilitate a vibrant lifestyle, Aegis residents will be encouraged to enjoy a large variety of services including the brain gym, food theatre kitchen, card room, craft room, full exercise gym, activity garden and outdoor sensory garden for Memory Care. The
community also will include secured underground parking and will offer a variety of dining options for residents including patio dining, private dining room, and bistro.
