Overlake executives earn top healthcare management credential
August 7, 2008 · Updated 6:49 PM
Three Overlake executives recently became Fellows of the American College of Healthcare Executives (www.ache.org), the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders.
David Schultz, FACHE, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; Gary McLaughlin, FACHE, Chief Financial Officer; and Pam Rock, FACHE, Director of Cancer Services, all earned the credential, which demonstrates commitment to professional development and excellence in healthcare.
Fellow status signifies board certification in healthcare management. Only 7,500 healthcare executives hold this distinction. To obtain Fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional and community involvement. Fellows also are committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.
Overlake Hospital Medical Center is a nonprofit, non-tax supported regional medical center. More information is available at www.overlakehospital.org.
