TJ DiCaprio, Senior Director of Environmental Sustainability at Microsoft, has received the 2013 Climate Change Individual Leadership Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Center for Corporate Climate Leadership. The award honors those helping to reduce carbon pollution and address climate change.

DiCaprio led the effort to establish Microsoft's recent commitment to carbon neutrality for its data centers, software development labs, offices, and employee air travel. The effort led Microsoft to achieve its goal of reducing carbon emissions by 30 percent per unit of revenue from 2007 levels by 2012 through a series of efficiency initiatives and purchasing renewable energy.
